Laid or Slayed LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Laid or Slayed website and mobile application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Account Information: When you register, we collect your name and email address.

User-Submitted Content: Reviews, star ratings, text comments, optional photos, stylist and salon names, and the city you enter when submitting a review.

Membership & Referral Data: Payment status (paid/unpaid), referral codes, and referral activity.

Device & Usage Logs: We may collect device type, browser, operating system, IP address, pages visited, and timestamps to operate and improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

Operate and maintain the Service, including displaying reviews publicly.
Process membership payments and track payment status.
Send transactional emails such as password resets.
Administer referral tracking and badges.
Provide customer support.
Improve the Service and fix bugs.

3. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following third parties only as needed to operate the Service:

RevenueCat: Receives an anonymized customer ID to manage in-app purchase status. RevenueCat does not receive your name or email.
Google Play / Apple App Store: Process in-app membership payments. We do not store your payment card details.
SendGrid (Twilio): Sends transactional emails (password resets) on our behalf. SendGrid receives the recipient email address and email content.
Hosting Provider: Our servers and database are hosted by a third-party cloud provider that may process data on our behalf.

4. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data and submitted content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and secure token-based authentication. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable laws:

Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (see "How to Delete Your Account" below).

8. Children

9. How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your Laid or Slayed account in any of the following ways:

In the app: Go to Profile → Delete Account → Confirm.
Online: Visit our account deletion page.
By email: Send a request to support@laidorslayed.com from the email address associated with your account.

Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days. Upon deletion, your profile, reviews, photos, and referral data will be permanently removed.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
